I taught him everything he knows.

OP, I can help you out. Unfortunately the plan will go awry due to my unreliable ex-con pal. It will involve a car chase and getting socked by a bad guy, but I'll have it wrapped up by the top of the hour.

Young guy that did my small claims process serving for finance company and then the car lot before i moved on into bank lending was a PI.

I still chuckle over his telling me how he went to OU Med School Tulsa Campus and sat and waited in the classroom, listened to the students chatting as they came for class to ID the guy, and got the delinquent borrower served right in front of everybody as the professor walked in.

PI was a baby faced 30 year old when I met him. Didn't look a day over 20. He never failed to get the service in the 5 or so years I used him ... frequently.

Yeah, I have on several occasions.

Business related mostly but also during the divorce from my ex. Used a long time friend for that one who had worked Vice in Asheville who I served with in the 82nd Abn Div. He did me right. Can't say I won but I did better than I would have without him .... women have all the rights and she had me dead nuts busted with my current wife. But my ex was playing the butt hurt innocent when in fact she was doing the same thing I was while I was traveling, longer than I had been.

24 years down the tubes and we had amassed a lot of property and healthy bank and retirement accounts. Had grown girls, one already in college at the time and two more about to be.

I took my licks and got out but it could have been a lot worse had my guy not given me the ammo to fight back and man oh man did he give me some ammo. We had pictures they did not want shown during arbitration. She had her two older sisters representing her for free.

I've had to use P.I.s in business too. They are indispensable in certain cases especially when millions are on the line and you absolutely must know the character of the person or people sitting across from you.

You never know when you might need to have a trump card up your sleeve. You have to always be a step or two ahead of everyone else involved.

Although I am not involved in the day to day stuff as much as I used to be, we still use people for thorough background checks when we hire. It's a policy that I implemented two decades ago and it has saved us some real headaches over the years.

There are several different levels of IRs you might order.

I have a friend that used one during his child custody battle. They found all kinds of things for his lawyer to use.

Define "private detectives". Do I take care of local law enforcement in several jurisdictions so that they take care of me? Duh.

Yes in a child custody case. They can be game changers. I would suggest consulting the best divorce lawyer you can find and explain what you need. These lawyers use the best PI's period. You will be amazed.

second post. Trying to get a private eye to catch someone drinking while driving.

Odd return.
