My claim has been a nightmare so far. We have been incredibly persistent but it’s like talking to a brick wall. My family is displaced. This shite sucks.

Got a hole in my roof from a tree during Ida. Safeco sends the offer and roofer says we can do it. Takes the roof off only to find Safeco gave 1/2 the roof in squares and did not account for the other 1/2. Roof is already removed, with a big old hole in it anyway, so had to be put back on... Now Safeco is fighting the other half of the roof even though I have pictures showing raised shingles and wind damage. How are you supposed to fight idiots telling you that you only get 1/2 a roof after a Stage 2/3 comes through BR. ?????

I did well. I won’t say much more, other than I had a really cool adjuster.
I’ve heard nightmares from friends and family with larger companies.

My wife loves our adjuster, I haven't met him yet, I work out of town. She says he's a really nice guy. It's weird though, he has been back to our house like six times and we didn't really have too much damage.

So far so good, adjuster spent about 3 hr going over the damage(tree on house) 7 days after Ida. Within 7-10 days I had a check(about 66% of total expected claim by contractor), then about a week later, they sent another check to adjust for the increased price of replacement flooring(another 30% of expected total claim). We still have to send in various quotes for services we are using to rebuild. I don't think it's going to be a problem.

This make me mad. Not that you did well, just that you know how you did

I’m about $15k out of pocket and my adjuster asked me over the weekend if we were still living in the house. I’m like no could you please look at my claim

Same. I met my deductible and they’re covering every penny above that. And the estimates I have are really kind of high IMO. I was surprised.

With Fed Nat. Everything went smoothly up until the Field Adjuster left house on 9/7.

After that, went 10 days without being able to get a callback or e-mail response from desk adjuster, despite multiple attempts.

I finally got my Insurance Agent to call, which got me a callback from a new desk adjuster, who told me that they had not yet received a report from field adjuster and asked me for the contact information of the field adjuster.

Another 5 days have passed and still have no information as to potential claim amount.
