I personally know of someone that tested positive for COVID and recovered and recently took the antibody test and it came back negative.

I was sick as shite at the end of January..terrible cough, migraine headaches, fever, body aches...the worse I've ever felt
took antibodies test towards the end of April....negative.

I had it done and I was negative. So was everyone working in our clinic.
I’ve done antibody testing on almost 300 patients with about 6-9% positive.
Had several swear they had it and were positive for antibodies, but most were negative.
Had an 80 y/o man test positive and said he can’t remember the last time he had a cough, runny nose, fever....anything. He was treated three times because he wanted to see when he converted over to IgG so that he could donate plasma to help others.

It can take up to 3 weeks or more for antibodies to show up. Or they took a relatively inaccurate antibody test.

No. Signed up for University of Louisville's Co-Immunity Project and they did it as well as a COVID-19 swab for free.

Jeez, I had my results the next day, and they even had to send it up to Dallas to analyze.

It's for their research project, so I'm going to assume there's some processing that you typically wouldn't have for just an antibody test that you purchase at LabCorp. They're also processing a few thousand at a time.
The swab came back within two days.

Check if there’s any local clinical studies being conducted? At the end of March I was actually contacted via email by my insurer that there would be a clinical study once the anti-body test was available. I was diagnosed w/ pneumonia & acute bronchitis, but negative for both strains of the flu(I had flu shot in Oct.) at a local university urgent care, whom also happens to be my insurer so my case was pretty streamlined. Took Mayo Clinic anti-body test May 28th found out I was positive for IgM & IgG anti-bodies June 4th donated plasma June 8th. MU Healthcare & local county hospital we’re trying to pin point how early the Rona was here locally & how many had anti-bodies as a result of flu-like symptoms/pneumonia I was 1 of 250-300 that were tested, no clue on final %’s, my initial diagnosis was Jan.28th. Locally, ARC is testing for anti-bodies with a blood donation. We’ve been fortunate here as opposed to KC or STL, even their numbers are good when compared nationally. We’re phase 3 as opposed to them so travel ball, softball/baseball tournaments & our restaurants/hotels have been full all June.

One of my sons was tested twice...
Positive both times..
Still does same stuff ...mask ...distance etc... but has always done that to protect others...

Actually had one through work that was supposed to be free...just got a $112 bill from the lab yesterday..still need to figure out wtf that's about...also I was negative

I got tested when I was sedated for surgery. Negative for virus, positive for antibodies.
I have felt great since December, so I was either more violently ill with the virus than 99.9% of people under 60 back then, or it was the flu and I was asymptomatic when I actually had the virus.
