By going to a school that cost between $35k and $45k a year
I had a 25% academic scholarship so basically I got a year for free.

Not a big deal. I did the same thing in Iowa. When people I worked with at the TV station in Iowa came into the restaurant I worked at they didn't think it was a big deal at all.
I've already talked to some of my co-workers about this today and no one seems to think its a big deal

Main reason I want to get this part time job. To help fund my hobbies like marine aquariums on top of accelerating my student loans.

Long arse time ago and I was just driving around picking up applications to go home and fill out. The manager wanted me to go ahead and fill out there but I told him I didn't want to cut myself short on opportunities. Apparently he was hurting for help because he hired me before filling out the application (which was just a formality).
