I've done a few including my own. For mine I did everything but lay the slate and the felt, paid $100 for a local specialty shop to do that part. It's not difficult at all as long as you have your own tools and aren't relying on the junk packed in the box.

I didn't even know they made those 3.5x7 until I saw one in my ex wifes aunts house.

Woman was so desperate to look classy and rich they put one of those in their house.

I wanted to point and so bad but couldn't.

We had one of those when I was single. The house we lived in didn't have a room big enough in the basement to put a full size. We even had to use half sticks on the long side and they'd bump the walls

But we used the fool out of it.

The thing about pool tables is you'll use the crap out of them when you first get it but I don't think mine has been played on in years other than grandsons slinging balls from one end to the other.

Is $1200 for a used slate top, 8 foot table with free delivery and installation a good deal? Seems like it to me.

It's from a dealer.

New felt, new rails, comes with cues, balls and racks.

ETA:

If its a good slate pool table would highly recommend paying a professional to do it right

I think I paid about $350 (no lie ) for delivery and “white glove installation” about 10 years ago. It’s a slate top. It took the two guys about two hours to get it all done and perfect.

I'd say it's worth it.

How much for the one to the left of it. That looks really nice.

What color felt are you going to put on it?

This would be going in my man cave aka the garage.

I do have a flat screen on the wall that could be in danger.

Bought a used 3.5x7 slate this past Christmas. Got it from a dealer. Guy disassembled the table, loaded in into a van, drove it to my place, and reassembled it onsite. Touched up the finish and put on new felt. Turnkey on everything was $1,100. And, the guy said he’d come back and move it into my eventual game room (requiring taking it all back apart) for $250.

It’s not what they charge you to bring it. It’s what they charge you to come take it away in four years when you finally admit you never should have gotten it.
