Thinking about buying a pool table, but I don't want to spend $5,000 on one. I found a decent one for less than $1,000 but it says assembly required.

Anyone have experience putting one together?

You can get it moved, assembled, and recovered for less than $500.

If its a good slate pool table would highly recommend paying a professional to do it right

Agree. Setting up a pool table is like tuning a piano.

You can hire someone to put it together and felt it.

I moved mine from Birmingham 15 years ago to Florence and hired a billiard co out of Huntsville to level & felt it.

It was only 200 back then but even if its double that now it'd be worth it.

I have.. no issues ...needed another person at the end to flip it....

And yeah it was a modest price one which I used a lot for a few years and then not so much...
