In four years both of my boys will be out of the house so selling it won't be so bad.

Nah,

That when you take out an ad and give it away if they come get it.

Lots of 20 something single guys would love one.

Plus it's in his man cave so it's not in the way, yet

My wife loves mine, she uses it to pile stuff on.

I did once and I did a damn good job.

But, I'll never do it again.

My marriage likely wouldn't survive a second time.

I wouldn't do anything less than a 9 foot if you have the room.

Sometimes the assembly fee is ridiculous regardless of your financial setting.
One time I bought my little girl a swing set at Toys is us.
Not wanting to do it myself I inquired about having it assembled. $350.

Did it myself with my FIL.

That's a good deal. Buy it.

What's the brand? Just out of curiosity.

The $1200 one is made by Gandy. The $1500 is made by Boessling Ball.

Depending on how big it is 350 might be worth the money, especially 3 drinks in while putting it together.

I have bought an old lightly used one and disassembled it and slapped it back together. The slate is just real heavy.

My Nominee for “Most Awkwardly-Phrased Thread Title” of 2021 so far.

Try “Has Anyone Here Assembled A New Pool Table That Was Shipped to Them?”

I doubt anyone in the history of the world has “ever put together a pool table from it's shipping container”.

Bought one a few minutes ago.

Got the table, balls, rack, two cues, chalk, table cover, brush, wall rack for cues, delivery and installation for $1,040.

8 foot table with steel gray cloth.

ut I don't want to spend $5,000 on one. I found a decent one for less than $1,000

Same here, especially if you have kids that are going to be rough on it.

My husband had ours shipped and put it together with his dad. Wasn’t that hard. It converts into a ping pong table or dining table. Was about $1000.
