Too strong edibles make me re-assess my life every time. Can be beneficial.

Totally changed my pov and life trajectory at 21 yrs. old. Of course, one's 'trip' will depend on one's basic genetic and cultural/psychological makeup. Introvert or Extrovert matters. Some see and feel things that others do no. That will either be obvious...or it won't.
I thank the Good Lord for the vision, and His intervention in what could and would have otherwise likely been 'calamitous', after the Vision took hold. Albeit, there is no such thing as 'calamity' in the 'Bubble' of virtually unlimited, imagination perception.
There are plenty of books, disciplines, knowledge and personal testimonies of the possibilities...'real' or 'imagined'. If you are a fearful person, you might consider guidance of some sort. I had good friends who had trouble handling 'real'. One can go off the rails, especially if young.
The sky is the limit. Good luck.

Ha. Take enough shrooms to really gain "wisdom", and there will be no doubt that you "earned" it.

But you are right in that there are profound realizations re perceived reality that may cause one serious issues re one's 'comfy zone' in life.

I think everyone should do LSD at least once in life.

I don’t know about a breakthrough; but I went and saw Mesmerica a month or so ago at the LASM on mushroom edibles. It wasn’t some crazy amount so nothing insane, but the visuals and narration of the show are mind blowing even if you were sober. Very positive message about your self worth, and just the wildest ride of visual stimulation.
I had to close my eyes briefly a few times.
My friends and I all looked at each other when the credits rolled and the lights came on like WAT JUST HAPPENED
Edit - dangit this is an older thread. I might have posted this already in here ??

Gratitude
Best girlfriend ever
Roof over my head
Good food to eat
AA to rely on
Spiritual teachings available
There’s nothing left to say because it’s all been said before.
I’m tired of being lazy, unmotivated.
Don’t overthink events. The past is the past. The present is everything.
Stop mental judgement about myself and especially others. Accept and love others as they are. This is very important.

I took the trip in the comfort of my house, had some Ram Dass lectures, Krishna Das, Billy Strings, Grateful Dead.
We are all souls. The rest is just for showing off a little. I said that to my girlfriend today

THIS. Today.. I felt loved by God for being alive. I had a spiritual breakthrough although no ego death.

PS...if you are a real 'vision' explorer, you might find the Carlos Casteneda Books re "Don Juan" an interesting read. A Series. Back in 70's the 'Heads' and 'searchers' couldn't wait for the next book to come out. Heavy stuff. Wrecked my path to 'success'.
Careful.

Careful.

I've been really wanting to experiment with shrooms for the first time recently.

You got right sized
It's actually like a big burden being lifted.

Psychedelic therapy is going to become bigger and bigger in the coming years. Let's hope the gubment and big pharma can keep their hands out of it enough to not completely frick it up

I think that the quest for 'vision' was a right of passage in Native American culture. Some would hang by hooks in their skin in the sun, until the vision came. Hopefully sooner than later.
Going without food for extended periods can produce visionary perceptive effects as well. Preferable to drugs as the transition is slower, and 'normal' reality and purpose are maintained.
I would never encourage anybody to do the 'big trip'. The human mind is a very fickle mechanism. That can be heaven or hell. And likely will be both.

there are two perfect situations to trip, for me:
-a bright sunny day at a Mardi Gras parade
-a live music event
while those are great there is something special about being outside in nature without many people around; on a beach with waves rolling in, in a mountainous setting, and one of my personal favorite places to blast off into the other dimension is the Moab area

If you are a Spiritual person and can do so 'in good faith', then IMO, "to the pure all things are pure". Intent is big when one ventures into the realm of out of control perception. One can do just enough to "giggle" and treat the "Bubble of Perception" as a mere distortion (like my Granddaughter does with that Ap that distorts people's faces)...or...one may realize that the "Bubble of Perception" is there for the taking. To wherever one's deepest intent desires.
Whatever/whomever you are...it will be magnified relative to the dosage. We always hit it hard, enough to lose 'self'. Like the Posts above affirm, lifting the burden of that alone is worth the price.
Be careful re the dosage. Shrooms left to age in the sun for a few days (no rain) become concentrated and send you over the edge in short order. And for a long duration. Danger lies therein. My Nephew walked through a bard wire fence, well, did a pretty good job.
If you are a Christian...ask Jesus. That helps big time. Don't go against your conscience. Confidence in one's 'purpose' matters.

Beauty...the gate to 'heaven'.
For a ride, you might consider watching "Koyaanisquatsi" on a big screen if possible. Let me know what you think if you try it.

Just drove through there on my way to Montana. I’ll definitely be going back to Moab to do some “road tripping.”

I love shrooms. Very healthy way to let go and contemplate life.
I quit drinking and smoking herb after eating ~10 grams of shrooms in a single day; it was one of the better days of my life. I felt like I mentally replayed my entire life that day. I’d really like to go on one of these ayahuasca retreats and melt for a few days.
