In AL, your doctor has to sign off at whatever interval your placard expires. Technically, for any handicap tag or placard the doc should have to sign off on it once it expires.
That doesn't mean all docs do or all follow up on it.

We had the airport thread, and now this one. The only one left is one for people who have no trouble walking in the bathroom using the handicapped stall. Who's going to start that one?

It doesn't take a medical doctor to sign the medical waiver. MD,DO,Physician Assistant,Chiropractor,Advanced Practice Nurse, or Other Practitioner can sign a waiver for their patient. There are 2 types of handicap tags, permanent or temporary(1 year).

That's not true. Doctor specifies on the required paperwork whether handicap is permanent or not.

Do you need paperwork once you have the tag.

In LA, when you qualify for HC license plate or hang tag, you're issued a "mobility impaired" ID that has your picture and # that matches # written on hang tag.

I’ve you considered that the person in the car is handicapped and someone else left them there while they dipped into Walmart?

How do you know they are terrible drivers if you see them sitting in the handicapped spot.

Why the eff do you care? You aren’t handicapped. You story has no merit unless you saw another handicapped person confront them.

Nope. He may be onto something here. This may very well be a win/win type deal.

When he handicapped person shoots him because they felt threatened in gonna laugh.

When he accosts a handicapped person and it gets filmed and he goes viral I’m gonna laugh.

When he calls the cops on someone and they are handicapped I’m gonna laugh. Or laugh at the fact he called the cops.

When he posts about how he confronted someone and they didn’t produce an ID BECAUSE WHY THE FRICK WOULD THEY I’m gonna laugh.

I'm pretty sure that you, as a private citizen, have no right to question anyone with a valid HC tag. MYOB.

This. When I renew my plates, they also give me a tag. Reason, if my daughter drives me to the doctors in her car, I can use the tag.

Co worker got one for her elderly mother years ago. Her mom died 2 years ago and she still uses the tag. I’m sure in her head she still deserves it .

I don't see where I would have any standing to ask to see it.
