Oh come on. We expect at least a little sparring with the OT - probably would've helped your fat arse.

If you're slamming your door into someone else's car, then, yes, I agree with you. Several responses are mad about merely touching.

I am thankful for those who are careful, and who teach their kids to be careful, but many people just open doors into other car doors...sometimes doing great damage.

Both sides of my car reflect this in several different spots. One you can tell that the white door of an SUV (likely), was thrown into it with force. Good times

Both instances I roll down my window, say I’m sorry, and then say my door has protecters. I then say have a nice day. I drive off, not wanting to be around this mental illness anymore.

Baw, you are throwing your door open into people's car doors so often that you decided to start a thread on it and act like everyone else is the problem.....you are so completely oblivious to the world around you.

YOU are the mental illness people don't want to be around

Park further away and get some walking in.

I am pissed about touching! Dont touch at all, and there is no chance of any damage.

It's a fact of life with having to park in crowded public areas. Even people with the best of intentions will screw up from time to time.

We have a parking lot Karen at our office who complains to mgt if a bumper hangs over the sidewalk in a mm. Or if tires touch the lines.

Not sure who she's frickin but, it's someone high up on the food chain here.

Sounds like she needs to come out of the office on a Friday afternoon with no valve stems in her tires.

Step 3: don’t back in reverse if you’re clueless about it

I can see both sides. If you’re careful not to put so much as a smudge on their car and it just barely touches, no harm no foul.

But at the same time, I don’t want anybody even touching my car.

I do usually park way on the outskirts so I don’t have to deal with other cars, but half the time some jack wagon comes and parks right on top of me with dozens of open spaces around me. Now that pisses me off.

Lucky some guy doesn't kick your arse for smacking the door of his car.

Door dingers are scum.

Park properly between the lines and it won't be a problem. Not the other person's fault if you don't leave enough room.

There are mentally ill everywhere. They go nuts. Its quite annoying. Covid made them come out and fly their freak flags higher than normal.
I've had it with them as well. If you are slamming the door, that's one thing but barely touching it is ridiculous

she actually refers to herself as Parking Lot Karen. She's actually proud of the title.

I don’t see why the op is getting all the hate here. He parked fine, the other car parked over the line. If you park over the line and I can’t get into my car, you are certainly going to have a badge on the side of your car to remember the experience by. If I parked over the line, I expect the same.

No. I have everything delivered and if i do stop at the grocery store I park away from anybody.

Besides, a few extra steps add up!
