They want to bring you in to help improve their AI results.
Pay ranges from $80-$120/hr.

If you want to sell out to Skynet, go for it.
Seriously, that sounds like good money. But you can’t make a career out of it. They won’t need you in 2 years.

Did your AI have a hallucination when formulating this question?

That is how I feel, but it feels scamish.
Anyway, they sent me a flash offer and it would turn into 40 hours after a 4 hour paid trial. I mess around with it for 3 hours last night and submitted a trial task that scored 0% on their Gemini model. I ran it 3x with 0%. They wanted sub 40%.
Get an email overnight, that says your trial has ended. Thanks but no thanks with no record of the trial and 0 hours paid.
So, avoid this if you see it come your way.

Yikes! Was it Mercor or another company?

A company through Mercor.
I expected feedback from a reviewer (Project Julius it was called) and it was cancelled after midnight and Mercor shows no record of the trial. I cannot even log into the studio to get screehshots of the work.
You had to create a self task to let Gemini solve it. Mine was: Feasibility Study on Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology for Residential use: 100% power or backup power.

Sounds like they're getting free labor out of people.

So I’d love to share my Mercor experience.
They hired me last year at $50 an hour. I’d run the clock for 40 hours a week getting 2k while only working 2-3 hours. Did this for 20 weeks or so till they figured it out
They hired me again at 100 an hour but have new rules that you only get paid for the product with a two hour cap so for a few months got 200 bucks a week

This was supposed to be for a 40 hour cap but they ran me through a 4 hour trial first.
..and then canceled the trial saying the trial never started even though I dumped 3 hours into it last night.
I guess they are recouping the wages they lost on you.

for last 3 months or so I have been getting 1-2 a week. pay range very similar to what you are describing. I just assume a scam and its not enough money for me to even entertain.
