I'm terrified now. Between this story and bedbugs I think I'll just stay home forever.

Similar to another poster, had a leak somewhere near a vent in the roof. Sprayed the hell out of the area near the vent and haven’t had any issues since. This was at least 5 years ago.

Tried on a pinhole leak on a pool filter. Did not work at all.

I bought a can just in case I needed it at the camp. Ended up not using and had it loose on the backseat of my truck. On the drive home, some jack hole cut me off and I slammed the brakes. Can flies off the back seat and hits the rail under the driver seat puncturing the can. Flex seal was promptly sprayed all over the back seat, door and carpet before I could get stopped and get the can out. It will never ride inside the truck again!!!

I had some small holes on the bottom of my above ground pool. Put the flex seal tape over them with water still in the pool. Worked for the three more months I left the pool up. Was surprised it worked since I applied it under water. Key is you cannot touch the adhesive before applying, and you only get one shot at applying it. There’s no readjusting once you put the tape down, or you might as well just pull it up and throw that piece away and do it again.

I’ve used it for a few things, but I wouldn’t use it for a permanent repair
