No. If anything Amazon looks for the cheapest location to build. hence cortana. You think they selected that site due to lack of crime?

Drivers get attacked or robbed enough times and Amazon will stop allowing deliveries to the whole neighborhood.

The US Postal Service needs to implement this policy.
Mail carriers go door to door in the worst neighborhoods in the country, all while their vehicle is parked a couple of blocks away unattended.
There are a few older nice neighborhoods with door delivery, but most have a mailbox on the street, and newer neighborhoods have a bank of mailboxes in a central location.
