Spent 7 months in Bangalore, India in a consulting role (restructuring), met the most gorgeous, fiery woman I've met in my life. Dated her for 6 months. Move back to the US, 12 hours behind, and she breaks up with me, saying "she no longer feels connected." Obvious given the change in work hours and the inability to talk with her; but shite, how devastating. Feel like I never knew the bitch. Anyone ever go through this?

What a time to be alive, even girls from India don’t even want to become an American citizen anymore.

Nut up. Hearts are broken everyday, to quote Jewel.

You piece yourself back together and find love anew. That’s the way of the world.

That or you die alone

Yeah I dated a girl for a year and some change about 5 years ago that I thought was gonna be the one tbh. She left me quicker than Barry Sanders getting to the second level of a defense when I found out there was another guy. Still think about her from time to time. BUT, it was for the best obviously. It’s hard to trust women when you put trust into them and they frick you with a longer dick than you have, but it’s part of life I guess...

I mean yeah you arent wrong FreeMant, but it’s the worst when you sacrifice your future for the person and they are oblivious to that and still give you the footlong... (metaphorically speaking of course).

It’s easier to recover the older and more experienced you get.

Man, I had it done to me. Bad. Married. Month after the second kid she told me she never loved me and wanted a divorce.

Broke me. In a 6 month span I had a child, lost a wife, a career, and a brother.

Basically, you can quit, or you can soldier on. Because those are the only two options. If You quit because the game seems lost, then you ain’t playing it. Hell, it’s not even halftime.

So you cry your tears, drink your beers, pick your arse up and put your game day panties on.

Because the only thing we are guaranteed is the right now, the right here.

So you soldier on through the rough times, when all hope seems lost.

Because there will be a Dawn. You’ll learn to laugh again. To love again.

As long as you keep playing the game, you are winning. Even if it feels like losing.

Because you are STILL PLAYING

So saddle up pilgrim.

And keep playing. That’s the only way you’ll win.

well god damn you went through more than me. I couldnt imagine being married to someone WITH kids and things going south. (Happens all the time to a lot of people, but it doesnt mean it’s easy for anyone). It’s the worst if you have kids and are happily married and the woman wants to leave. (Idk if that was your situation).

If was I feel for you bro. Even if it was mutual, I feel for you.

That’s life. Life is sailing out of one storm and into another.

The only thing you can do is keep sailing, keep bailing, keep fighting. Even if it feels like you are sunk.

Because if you stay afloat, you’ll find a safe harbor to nurse your wounds and patch your sails.

And more storms will come, because life is a cruel mistress.

But you keep on sailing. You keep on fighting because THAT’S the only option.

Yes, I was thrusting up and she was dropping it down and my balls got trapped in the cross fire. I was crushed.

I was I in real bad place. Really just at rock bottom. I had been forced to resign my job, car had been totaled, computer was broken, cell phone was soon to die, and I was recovering from an awful illnes where I had to have months of recovery. I had to move back in with my parents because I couldnt even drive and had to go to physical therapy to learn to walk again. I had $1000 bucks to my name and clothes and that was it. I was needless to say, a little.... emotional. Bitch in a long distance relationship through a hissy fit off something I said and went on a long diatribe about how I was nothing and she would try her damn dear to forget I ever existed.

I hadn't been head over heels for her or anything and I took it in stride but that really fricked me up low and I really was all sorts of messed up
