I'm not complaining, just pointing out the facts of the situation at hand being discussed.

I know people of boomers, gen x, millennials and whatever the frick comes after them and all of them are working with good jobs. If anyone is complaining they are lazy. Regardless of when they were born.

I really don’t get millennials continuing to insist on blaming boomers for their own self inflicted problems.
I could make a millennial meme just like that boomer meme

Gets an English degree from Columbia
Wonders why they still have student loan debt

Lives in Greenwich village while teaching
Wonders why they don’t own a home

Applies for management positions making 70k minimum out of college
Complains that no one is hiring

Spends a month in Europe in their 20s
Complains about having no savings

Basically the collective of mid 20s and early 30s are expecting to live the lifestyle of their successful parents at age 50-60.

They want filet mignon on a salsbury steak budget.

I feel like I’d rather live in greenwich village than own a home in some towns.

But that’s just me

Sure, but on this board pointing out problems and then pointing out solutions that someone else doesn't agree with is complaining. I have nothing to complain about, I have a professional degree and am ahead of 99% of people my age because I worked my arse off, but none of that changes the fact that I still have to work harder and longer than necessary to own a home or whatever the case may be.

Well that's completely subjective. You're projecting subjective feelings and I'm pointing out that you are a drunk that couldn't hack it in the real world.

Ok that’s fine.

Just don’t complain about a boomer putting a down payment on a 2 bedroom home in the burbs at the same age. They made the burbs a thing and made a decision to not live in the “interesting/bustling downtown” but rather afford a home with decent schools

Which ran downtowns into the ground causing a bad economy and created terrible traffic making people now having to commute an hour plus to work. Another can't see the trees through the Forrest moment by the boomers. Slung up hoods in the burbs without proper planning or zoning or eye for the future in order to make a quick buck.

Yeah it’s the responsible parents who have clean suburbs and good schools who are to blame for failing downtowns

Typical millennial. Blame others who made a decision that they are jealous of

I'm not blaming individuals for buying the houses. I'm blaming the developers for being greedy and short sighted, a Boomer signature.

I can assure you I'm not jealous of some sad sap sitting in traffic 2 of 3 hours a day to go back to his cookie cutter house.

I’m not complaining at all. And never put anything on boomers or millennials or the other one between them that people seem to forget

I’d prefer it just because of commute/ work hours

I’m working till 7 daily I’m not trying to commute an hour and 30 daily back to my house in CT NJ or LI

And FWIW those neighborhoods in Manhattan have great public schools
