One thing to remember is that while this feels so imminent since the first landfall is not that many days away, the 2nd landfall (if it even happens) is a good week away or more. So that is making this strange. I feel like we are in "it's happening" mode but truly Louisiana is in "wait and see" mode for a few more days. It could end up never coming back East or end up just getting picked up and slung North.

I think tomorrow afternoon will be the time to make any decisions that need to be made as far as travel and preparations are concerned. At least that's when I'm going to decide what I need to do.
Full disclosure, i mean what I need to do for work. I don't have a home or family in the path....yet.

I believe he just met with FEMA about the pumps in New Orleans
Posted on 8/22/17 at 2:41 pm to Dire Wolf
It's about the NOLA pump situation. I'm sure he'll get hammered with questions about Harvey though.

totally nothing to do with having a democrat as a mayor of Nola, wasting tax payer money on protecting people's feelings instead of infrastructure

When's the data going to be loaded into these models? I feel like once it's over water and they have all that data it will be far more consistent tomorrow onward. Not going to lie though, the fact the other models are starting to trend to it making 2 landfalls is scary.
