Never mind. She doesn't need to sign up to follow this thread anyway.

Are there any expert opinions here on the impact Harvey could have in BR/Denham over the next several days?

Also, I'm praying for you posters in Texas.

Power outages in Corpus already starting.

This is the message the people already out are getting:

quote:

DUE TO STORMS WILL REMAIN OUT UNTIL AFTER HURRICANE COMPLETELY PASSES

Obviously for safety reasons. But that means it'll be Monday or Tuesday maybe until assessment can begin. Much less restoral.

I think you're right about Corpus Christi proper... but they're going to be without power for days if not a few weeks.

Yeah I'm just getting some final things in place then we're hunkering down tonight. Seems some uncertainty when Harvey will start moving this way.

Oh definitely. Hopefully the structures make it through though. I remember driving down to Holly Beach after Rita and it was wiped off the map like it never existed.

So far the Euro is taking Harvey a bit further inland and for longer than previous runs. That would bode well for future strength when/if it re-emerges. Doesn't really do much to the rainfall totals though, in all likelihood.
