i'm not using that language towards her, but it is hilarious that the voters of Harris County let her be elected with no experience or even a degree in the legal field.

This definitely just happened today. Probably would have made more sense three weeks ago though if it ever did make sense

Hopefully this prevents our 50th death in a county of 4.7 million people

Hopefully Abbott shuts this done quickly

So after a quick Twitter search this is not THE Dan Patrick. I was very confused why he would care about Houston politics

Been in place in Travis County for at least a week already. Travis County, you know, where the state capital is.

If he can’t shut it down where he lives, probably can’t shut it down elsewhere.

Municipal governments in Texas have a lot of authority.

Houston is run by an AA former newsman. Does that sound conservative. And they have an inexperienced liberal County judge that rode in on Beto’s coattails in the final election with straight ticket voting. (sorry to poke that sore Owlie)

Then what’s the point of a Texas governor’s executive order?

I hope Abbott is getting blown up about this as we speak... I want to say he came out yesterday and said that his order supersede any local govts.

Nonetheless, I hope the lawsuits start flying.

Has the curve been flattened yet or do we need another 300,000 people to lose their jobs before we’re good

No you see, Houston could be the next New York with its massive public transit, close living quarters and large number of cases.

i do. but she also doesn't have any experience in the field either. i said that explicitly in my post.

i'm not implying that it did require a degree or experience, but it's laughable to have elected somebody with neither.
