we think we miss him now,, when the economics of this hits the lack of leadership will be even more damaging.
What she and Ellis/Garcia are trying to do with the Flood bonds will be worse with the economic recovery assistance. AND while this is going we the fact that O&G taxes will drop off the maps is being forgotten

Naw.....we are proceeding as planned with HCFCD projects.
Their primary bullseye is on limiting roadway projects and enhancing sidewalk type projects. It suits them as their precincts aren't exploding with growth like Pcts 3 and 4.
The O&G taxes won't really affect the flood bond program.
BUT, infrastructure funding is absolutely gonna take a hit overall. Thank God TxDOT diversified a bit from years past.
ETA: we are (and have been) staunch Ed supporters for years. Even some long-standing Dems hated to see him go.

Emmett was far from a traditional republican, he never would have been elected to that position in the first place if he was. Another reason why it was dumb all the Beto straight ticket voters ousted him

several of the projects that were specifically included as part of the Bond have been canceled ( Braes watershed West U project as an example,a couple of the Cy Creek projects) Hildago specifically wanted to use the Social Vulnerability Index to determine where.. (what social /ethnic demographics received benefits from the flood infrastructure investment) even talked about using dedicated flood-control dollars to pay for lawyers for illegal immigrants
at this moment since mapping and replotting flood plains is still ongoing YES the dollars so far spent have been spent as planned but the most recent budget efforts had money shifted , thats part of why thet fired Bill Jackson so they could replace him with a puppet to do their bidding

I referred to the impending Federal Economic relief dollars Rodney ( whos the real shot caller) will make sure his people will head up the local distribution.
Lina ( his puppet) will do what she can to assure the money goes to the Socially Vulnerable,, not the employers or actual workers. Shes a mini OAC,

I work for all precincts, so I have to keep a very low profile these days.
I can tell you that the Flood Bond will remain largely effective.
