I am about to paint my house exterior. Should I paint the Hardy Plank or replace it?

What condition is it in? You've given zero information.

Hardy a pretty durable fiber cement board.
Cement and a small bit of wood fibers.
Prime and paint it.

Not like the old Masonite siding. That was wood fibers and glue. That stuff jumps off your house if you don’t prime and paint all 6 sides.

Replace the Hardi plank? What? Why would you do that?

Yes because everyone replaces their siding when they want a different color house

Wash it, caulk as needed, and paint.
Hardi plank is a permanent product. Why do you think you should take it down?

Just replace it OP, only costs like 4x as much as a paint job.

quick hyjack, Should I pressure wash my driveway or just have it torn up and repoured? It's dirty AF and I'm not sure which route to take.

Why would you replace Hardy Plank? Was it not installed correctly?

Call Rhino Sheild......

Hardy plank + Rhino = never paint or replace again.

Well, that's what the commercial says....
