I’m not even looking for anyone… I’m lonely but I just try to stay busy… having the grandkids around help in my case.

Hang in there brother. I lost a 20 year old son almost 2 years ago. Time will heal you but remember she is with you every breath you take. Life is very challenging and has ups and downs . I pray that you will find comfort and healing .

I had already quit looking when she found me. Even if I was interested, the odds of that happening again are slim.

I can understand this… I really don’t see myself getting into a relationship again. I’ve been through enough pain and don’t want to go through it again.

I’m so sorry man. Don’t give up. Lean on your best friends and family. Get lots of exercise if you aren’t already. And maybe switch to a different therapist if you don’t think it’s working out well.

Starting 2025 with her gone and it's really been hard today. The first anniversary of her death is coming up in five days and the reality of it is hitting me all over again. Life will break you, fellas. It's just a matter of how and when it chooses to do it.

You're a good and strong man, Jim. Soldier on, brother. Happy new year and God bless you.

Do they really count if you weren’t able to touch them?

Sorry Jim. The first everything is the worst. Once you get through the date, your load will lighten slightly.

Hang in there man. I can’t imagine what you’re feeling. I’m coming up on the 1 year anniversary of my Dad’s death. I’m a wreck. It’s hitting way harder than I imagined.

First Christmas without Mom. Navigating Dad through "dating", which I am sure I have never really done, myself. I'm sure I will be on here in a few years, asking for advice on how to handle the not-so-normal family that will need help as I get old.

Happy New Year and you got this, Jim Rockford!

I wont judge anybody else, I know it's lonesome out there and it's natural to want companionship. Im lonesome too, but I just dont think I could do it.

Its definitely not for the faint of heart. As you know, it can change quick, send you in a completely different direction. And I have heard people say it doesn't get easier with time, you just learn how to better accept it. I hope you find some peace..

You can't anticipate when and how it will affect you. You go on for a few weeks and things are mostly OK. You think maybe you're over the worst of it and another wave slams you.
