Now imagine what folks like him could do it they had access to some of the advanced machinery and tools we have here in the Western countries.

That hole looks like the Heismen Trophy

Side note, what a depressing looking area...

I saw that pop up on my YouTube feed the other day. I'll have to watch it.

I like seeing how people around the world work. Whether it is cooking, brick making, or this. My sister bought our Mom an old brick mold imported from India for Christmas. They're just little old boxes that were 100% used in India to make bricks individually. They have logos and initials in them that are mirrors and are just cool conversation starters.

Anyway, that damn mold took me down a YouTube rabbit hole into the world of piecemeal brick making in India and elsewhere. They do it 100% by hand, and they make thousands of them a day. Pretty cool to see.

My dad has some Indian clients. They went back for a visit and asked him if he wanted them to bring back a souvenir. He said he wanted an elephant bell. He figured they'd bring him some little bell. They brought him one that weights about 15 lbs.

I love watching these resourceful people make stuff from nothing. I’ve seen dozens of these videos of casting metal, rewiring motors, and forging over the last few weeks. All while wearing sandals and no safety equipment.

As recent as 70 years ago here in the US things like this would occur. We are a very much a throw away society now. Also I found impressive this guys ability to paint that tar like substance and not get any of it on his clothes!

He’s actually 27 years old. Poor working conditions take a big toll.

Fascinating video. These are the kind of people who could thrive after an apocalypse because they're basically living in those type conditions now.

How many OSHA violations were there? My favorite was working with molten aluminum while wearing open-toed sandals.

Thanks for posting. That was incredible. that old man has some skills.

Just think, he did all that by hand and somewhere there is a John Deere field harvester that will run the tire.

I went to India some years back. it was interesting to see the old and new working side-by-side. It was interesting to see that they still employed camels and elephant in construction activities (to haul stuff).

Okay here's another one of the same guy repairing a ripped side wall. Dude can stitch up any slit in any tire it looks like with his bare hands.

This one is half as long as the other video - LINK
