Happy State Employee Recognition Day

To Every State Employee
State Employee Recognition Day is May 8, 2019. State Employee Recognition Day is an excellent opportunity to express appreciation to state employees at a time when their dedication is undervalued and unappreciated.
You don't provide a list of items you wish people would bring to you in order to show appreciation like teachers nor do you get all bent out of shape when individuals proclaim you play cards while on the job
State employees simply go about their day, having to deal with local inept citizens that don't file their tax return on time, deal with CNAs that need licensure renewals even though they are constantly disciplined, among many other hardships.
Your sacrifice has never been truly appreciated, but today is your day. Thank you for all the hard work you do.

Nothing warms my heart quite like hearing “who next” from one of our fine state employees at whatever office I’m paying some money to

I recognized one the other day. Looked a little different than I remembered but I pulled it off

They have to sacrifice so much. You don't know how hard it is to get off for Millard Fillmore's birthday when you've got so much work to do.

I just wish DOA would stop fricking with our parking.
Current bullshittery: Some agency is planning on doing work near or around the parking lot next to the Claiborne building. It's supposed to be a 9-month job and requires the fencing off of a couple dozen parking spots. This means they could have just as easily started this fricktardery after session and still had it done in time before the next session.
So what did they do? Those dipshits fenced off the spots just before session began and still haven't done a fricking thing there. It's almost as bad as when they mark off half that lot for Old Crooks Day... I mean... Former Legislators Day.
And it's not just state employees it impacts, those are open spots for the regular citizen coming to either just tour, to attend a rally on the steps of the State Capitol Building or to petition their legislative representatives.
