Good fricking luck getting that one off the ground.
It's more complicated than meets the eye, but the man was a traitor, and led a failed coup. No holiday is ever coming his way.

That depends if your allegiance is to your country first, or your state first.
At that point in time, more people held allegiance to their states over the nation as a whole.
In that context, no he was not a traitor.

His wife deserves this day more than he did. CSK put up with his betrayals and after he died picked up his cause and protected an image of a man who wronged her for a cause that was bigger than both of them. Where's her day?
So very true, she should have the odd granite statue.

It technically is a holiday in both Alabama and Mississippi if I'm not mistaken.
I'm not going to delve into personal beliefs about Lee. But I will say that I believe if you are going to celebrate Lee, then you deserve whatever the consequences of that are today.

Safer? Am I not allowed to ask a follow up question?

I applaud you for checking with me first on this. You are allowed to ask any question you would like, Bro J Simpson...you are free to speak.
And you are welcome.

Don’t ever go to that street after dark.
I've done it in Gulfport a few times. Only had my doors locked because it's still an ingrained habit from my time in New Orleans.

Was yesterday the day where I am supposed to post an MLK quote on my social media to show how "woke" I am? Want to make sure I am doing it right.
