dont leave out the fact that he is fine drummer, pianist, and an all-time great rock bass player

Yeah, I was always fond of this performance, Lennon wrote the song but McCartney and Billy Preston were right on time with each other

My son and daughter-in-law treated my wife and me to his Orlando show a few weeks ago - truly outstanding - packed a football stadium.

Also saw him in 2005 at the Staple Center in L.A. - great show.

If he and I are both alive in another 10 years and he's still performing at 90, I will go see him again.

George Harrison was the best songwriter on the Beatles by the end of 1968.

Yep, can't argue that

You can very definitely argue that. George’s best songs are right on par with John and Paul. But all in all, his songs were always much weaker. I’ll never get why George is so beloved by so many people. I guess maybe they relate to his songs more than I do. But as an overall label of “songwriter,” he was never on John and Paul’s level, or even close really.

And that’s not to say he was bad. George was a great songwriter. So it’s not a slant to him at all, it just goes to show you how good the others were.

Music is extremely subjective. There's nothing wrong with suggesting The Beatles are GOAT. Definitely a great one bi like em.

Just saw Paul in Knoxville. He absolutely killed it. Great show and hard to believe he is 80. Honestly to have done all he has done and still be performing at this level is incredible. There was everything from kids to seniors there, all having a blast. His voice is obviously not what it was but it didn’t matter. The GOAT in my opinion.

Elvis?

As a pure performer (voice, looks, charisma, showmanship, etc.) Elvis was the best of all time when at his best. However, I prefer McCartney to anyone as an all-around musician - from songwriting to performance to instruments to simply being dependable. He must be a pretty disciplined, level-headed person to have survived Beatlemania and decades of fame, touring, etc., without any major health or personal issues (by celebrity standards) that I’m aware of.

The Beatles are the standard against which all others are judged. End of story.

And there is a reason for this. When they came on the scene they really had no competition. There songs were all like three mins long and what they put in those three mins was incredible.

Paul was a better all around artist. Sometimes it takes more than just being a good vocalist. What hurt Elvis was he was a mediocre guitar player and didn't write songs. Elvis was humble enough to admit that a classical trained Roy Orbison was his superior in the vocal department.

No doubt! No one comes close
In ‘17 he put on an amazing show when Bossier was able to get him to come to the CenturyLink. Hell, he’s touring now! Anyone catch his latest shows?

The Beatles wrote it, sang it, and played it. Time is the greatest test of all, and the world is still shaking from their impact.
