went on a canoing trip on the buffalo river in Arkansas and he and I ended up paired up. We had such a freaking blast. We hit every rapid in the river and flipped the canoe twice. he was hilarious and was up for anything.

I was late 90s resident

I remember before a big game (St Fred days) he was pinning his name inside is coat in case body needed identifying post battle

I am sophomore on PAT team and distracted bc him past retirement age is rolling on the ground after a score

We didn't have a playbook - one year he gets copy of OCS playbook l....see this is why we don't have a playbook. Forget the fact we ran the same 3 running plays

Freddy

In my mind he and Jack McCall were part of the same unit.

Ahhhh. Ohhhhh. Clomp clomp clomp clomp.

I still remember the night Freddie turned into a snowman and I woke up to snow.

One of my best memories.

You can still get the Airport Lounge Long Island. Owner moved locations when they remodeled the airport. Made exactly the same in the same Big cups.

Still wonder if Bubby Brister is the father of Judy's hot arse daughter Charris.

ETA: grew up hearing the term ArkLaMiss every night on the news. Seems like it has been so long since I heard it it is actually nostalgic.

For such a small town, Monroe had a great bar scene and nightlife, then it was like they all closed down at once.

How can anyone say this and not mention The Siesta? Spent many nights getting blasted and listening to the one man bands at Chelsea's pub in Pecanland Mall as well.

During the urban cowboy era, The Branding Iron and Jack Of Diamonds were the places to be.

Difficult to explain how awesome Sal’s was Thursday-Sunday. Especially during the holidays, when everyone was back in town. During the ‘90’s, the sheer number of unbelievably attractive girls would make your head spin.

Best bar in N La, bar none.

Worked at Cucos and would regularly go across street to Sal's to spend most of my tip earnings.

Damn, you probably know my wife. She worked at Cuco’s and spent way too much time at Sal’s back in the day

Cucos
first place I ever had fajitas. I thought they were some kind of expensive exotic culinary concoction.

This poor Monroe boy only knew about enchiladas and refried beans.
