We pay Israel about 3 billion a year in order to influence.

If Israel wasn't restrained, there would be no Hamas or Hezbollah.

Wouldn’t be any Palestinian state either. They would have decided that relocating to Jordan like their brethren was a good idea.

You mean like our massive base in Kuwait? Or maybe the several bases in Jordan? Or the massive airbase in Qatar?

You know what country we don't have a base in? I'll let you figure it out.

Because they have at least one of those above in common.

I have never understood this Israel and Gaza Strip and Palistinion stuff. I mean I don’t want any innocent people harmed but is the REAL issue over there and what does it have to do with the USA?????

Palestine was in British control for a long time. There never was a nation of Palestine just an area filled with people from all over the ME.

After WII, Jews started migrating to the area because of not really having a homeland and fear of Holocaust and bought a lot of land and started protests to get the LoN (I think it was still the League of Nations at the time) to pressure England to cede control. Eventually Jews had enough land and political clout to make the move official. Main thing was they wanted a place to call home

The people of Palestine (still not a country) were mostly my pushed into what we now know as Palestine. Plenty of unethical occurrences in there.

There are plenty of Arabs and Muslims in Israel government. I think some statistics say as high as 30% of Israel identifies as Arab or Muslim.

The conflict is that Palestine was relocated and England and the world just kinda let it happen. So Palestine sees the Jews 70 years later as people who pushed them out of their land and Jews see it as “y’all weren’t even a country, where we can trace our Heritage here back to biblical times.”

Modern problems are 2 fold;

1. There are for sure Zionists that want to take Gaza and West Bank back and make it all Israel, but it’s not a part of the major political dialogue. Gaza and West Bank are shite. But they’re shite because...

2. Hamas won elections to be in control years ago and refuse to hold elections again so they’ve just stayed in control and saber rattle against Israel every few years.

US is involved because outside of their (of course) spying and the USS Liberty incident, they don’t normally start anything with us or have state sponsored terrorism. We pay Israel to not push the rest of the ME’s shite in basically.

Thank you for coming to my Israel/Palestine Ted talk.

I’m kind of impressed that Hamas even has all this military tech and logistics in place in spite of being under Israel’s thumb.

Israel isn’t shy about striking places if they’re being used for weapons and there’s no free movement in and out of Gaza. No ports or airports.

That’s the hilariously stupid part about the narrative.

Israel is NOT our foothold into the ME.

1. We have zero bases in Israel
2. We have legit bases in Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. THOSE are our strong footholds.

Derp.

Christian Americans are to Israel what white Democrats are to BLM.

BLM copied Israel and used it against white Republicans. You’re all basically a monolithic bloc of one-dimensional terrorists now.

That isn't true. You guys continually underrate the insane geopolitical conundrum Israel has put itself in after 2011. I mean, Israel's relationship with Hamas is very good example of how they, and the US along with them, let their myopia guide them with no thought to long term consequences, as they, like the US, put their trust in absolutely unreliable jihadis in hopes they could serve their interests.

Israel had cultivated a relationship with Brotherhood aligned Egyptians in the aftermath of Nasser's execution of Sayyid Qutb in 1966, focusing in particular on Sheikh Yassin. They thought that they could control both Yassin and his organization, which eventually became Hamas, as they hoped to split the Palestinians and serve as a counterweight to Fatah and the PLO. Do you need me to elaborate on what ended up happening? There was a literal repeat of this scenario that played out in the SCW, with no surprise as to the result. I mean, it's also been repeated numerous times with US involvement.

US pays Iran
Iran funds equipment or CIA ops bring weapons in.
Iranian proxies use networks to get weapons in
Fire at Israel.

We are on both sides of this mess.

Maybe that should be instructive for the Israelis themselves, as their obsession with weakening their neighbors has forced them into direct confrontations with Iran and Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean. People will underrate the ability of Iran, maybe because there is this notion that ME professional armies are lackluster, but the struggles of specifically Arab armies who lacked robust NCO corps among other issues (highlighted in this article) don't really apply to Iran or Turkey, as they aren't Arab, and both have gained more operational experience than the Israelis this last decade. There is no catch-up the Israelis can possibly play with regard to demographics either, and thus they need to rely on partners directly for anything other than smaller special operations work.

The geopolitical reality for Israel isn't pretty. They face two larger opponents who have historically dominated the region for a millennia. They have an uneasy peace with Jordan, with a coup attempt in April linked to Mossad and the King's half-brother, they have an uneasy relationship with Egypt which requires a hardman who will be generally unpopular, they are being out-competed in the Eastern Med by Turkey, who has been committed to keeping sea lanes open to their allies in Libya, despite Greek, Israeli, and Egyptian pressure, and are hemmed in by Lebanon and Syria, who are both antagonistic to them. Hopefully the Revisionist Zionist dream will fall by the wayside, as the security situation for them, and for everyone else, is the worst it has ever been.
