My neighborhood fluctuates over the years. Depends on how many trick or treating aged kids live here. Right now, we don't have as much as in years past but there's still quite a few decorations up.

what kind of sad neighborhoods do you people live in?

I've got like 4 full on haunted houses within a block on my house

tonight will be crazy with the amount of kids that come by my house

Halloween is still alive and well in my neighborhood

My neighborhood is actually going all out. Tons of decorations and even a community bonfire and weenie roast. It's nice considering there was nothing going on in the last house I lived in.

I see more Halloween decorations now than when I was a kid. Unless it falls on the weekend I really don't give a shite.

I am “that house” in my neighborhood. I go all out. Hardly any other decorations in my 200+ house neighborhood. Doing my part to keep the magic alive.

I’ve had a skeleton and scarecrow in my yard for about two weeks now. Bes belee imma be up in that suit tonight scaring the shite outa of little kids.

Yep all holidays are becoming that way. People just dont get into stuff anymore.

Either you live in a shitty cookie cutter neighborhood where no one talks to each other or a shell. Dumbest take on this board.

Our neighborhood goes all out for Christmas and Halloween. Its almost overwhelming with all the activities during the holidays.

Everyone is scared of each other these days. So I guess in a sense you can say we’re all in the true Halloween spirit.

no it isnt.

most people. Look what happens to schools when other kids are bused in. Looks what happens to neighborhoods when section 8 is put up. Look what happens to a the outskirts of a city when said city continuously funnels its tax dollars away to another part of the city.

It is not as black and white as you want to think being "its about the kids". Guess what life isnt fair, and i have worked hard for the money i have and dont want to charity it out to kids with lazy bum parents.

what does this have to do with Halloween and kids trick or treating?

its fricking kids trying to enjoy Halloween

I just can't even imagine this thought process

as long as the kids attempt at a costume and say "trick or treat", they get candy

not it isnt. it is parents bussing their kids to othe neighborhood because they want someone else to do the work.

if it means that I'm not so bitter about the world that I don't get mad about kids that don't live in my neighborhood wanting to enjoy Halloween, then yes, it is absolutely nice to live in my shell

the kids do not get to choose their parents

why hold it against them?

They are getting free candy just like the other kids in the neighborhood? Why even go to a trunk or treat? Why even pass out candy at all... all free work. I guess you should start making kids prove their address. Cousin of someone who lives in the neighborhood. NO CANDY FOR YOU.

sheesh who cares. some of you are just miserable cucks.

There may be two pumpkins on display in my entire neighborhood. When I was a kid, I remember it being a fun time of year. This is kinda depressing.

These "trunk or treats" and events sponsored by the city's fire department and police department ruined Halloween. You're supposed to run all through your neighborhoods and knock on people's doors for candy
