It hurts, no doubt about it. Time dulls the pain of sending a treasured friend back to his or her maker, but it never completely goes away. That's a testament to just how much joy they brought into your life.

Good dogs never live long enough.
The hurt is worth it to know your dog ain't hurting anymore. It's tough as all hell but it's the least selfish thing you can do for them.

Yeah it sucks. I wasn’t a dog person until I got her and now I know exactly why so many people hurt so bad after losing them. She was like my child.

Sorry for your loss baw. It gets easier but it's gonna suck for a while. I still miss my little man every single day. Put pictures of them up and never forget the time you got to spend with them.
