I work in a industrial manufacturing facility. First thing was we are not shutting down at all, full production we have work to get out. If anyone comes down with the virus the area they work in will be roped off. A professional crew will come in full hazmat suits and clean the area and any other area that employee may have been in the facility. Then work will resume just as before. Meeting over.

And that employee plus any coworkers they came into contact with would be banned from work until they test clear, right?

At first I read this as the infected worker would continue to work in a roped off area. Baw status confirmed.

Good thing you can’t spread the disease before showing symptoms

Sounds like the kind of place where everyone but the floor hands will be “working from home”. You guys should all collude to start coughing one morning.

Work in surgery. Cleaning method you describe is over the top. And anyone not wearing ppe and exposed to a POSITIVE person, they must be quarantined for 14 days.

We had several between yesterday and today. We started working mostly from home as of about noon today. "Mostly" because certain tasks can only be performed in the office and some will need to be there a few hours a day to do them.

I still say it's overblown, but whatever at this point.
