When I was around 16-17, I was on the dozer when I ran over a yellow jacket metropolis. I jumped straight up and hit my head on the roof, briefly rendering me unconscious. They showed no mercy. And to this day, I hate yellow jackets more than the taliban.

I apparently have a nest in the ground underneath my front hedge bush. Mowed too close one day and a bastard came flying in like a kamikaze and got me in the shoulder. Apparently, the bastard left his stinger in me and I didn't find it until 3 hours later.

I usually wait until night when they are all in their nest asleep and pour a cup of gasoline down the hole. Kills every single one of those frickers without a chance of me getting stung.

When I was 8(ish) I climbed a tree and disturbed a guinea wasp nest. Those mean suckers got me 57 times (once in a tear duct). My Grandmother took me to the Stanocola Clinic to get checked out. When we returned her neighbor was walking home with a bee suit and a WWII flame thrower. The plastic bird house where the nest was now lay melted in the grass. It made me forget about looking like I had chicken pox.
Now that actually IS a cool story bro

I swear those things came from hell.
Nastiest creatures ever kill them all and don’t think twice about it

I had a giant nest with multiple entrances at the farm a few years ago. Ran over it while disking and that really pissed them off. Those bastards are why I traded my open tractor for a cab style the NEXT DAY. I think they stung me 12-15 times, and a John Deere will not out run them.
I glued 2 pieces of pvc together and used it to deliver diesel to each hole, while I was safely out of the way. I hope their suffocating deaths were as painful as my stings were. Bastards.

its much more funny if you put a can of spray insulation in the ground and shoot it with a 20ga. It's the most redneck science experiment there ever was.
Disclaimer: don't do this if you live in a subdivision.
Ohhhhhh I had not considered tannerite.

The match is utterly unnecessary. The fumes from the gasoline will kill them. The fire can actually prevent the gasoline from working to kill all of the yellow jackets.

You didn't need to strike a match and endanger your self and property. The fumes of the gasoline will kill every yellow jacket in the hole.
I always mark the nest hole, then wait until it is dark. All the yellow jackets will be home after dark. Then I pour about a pint of gasoline into the hole. No danger and all will be dead.
