Let me say I've lived here for the majority of life and today was the first time I can ever remember stopping to get gas in New Orleans in broad daylight and thinking to myself I should keep an eye out for what's happening around me.

There is this eerie feeling in the city of desperation and hunger. People are out of work, depressed, and just straight don't give a frick about who or what they need to steal, kill, whatever to survive another 10 minutes.

New Orleans is dying and everyone from JBE to Latoya are fiddling while it burns.

TLDR: New Orleans is a bad place to be right now, more than ever.

The damage done by the ridiculous responses to Covid is incalculable. It will be long lasting, and is way worse than the virus.

If you think it's bad now, just wait. Ever been to Brazil? My advice is, move.

I thought about that, and this just seems different. With Katrina it was awful but you (at least I did) knew the city would eventually come back. Doesn't feel like there is much hope for the city right now.

Not to defend that bitch Destroya, but the trash of New Orleans that will kill and rob you blind would be exactly the same even if the city was wide open and booming.

Times are not good here. The city is crumbling into ashes. It has been buried under taxes and frauds and maladministrations so that it has become a study for archaeologists...but it is better to live here in sackcloth and ashes than to own the whole state of Ohio.

Depending on where you stopped, this is no different than any time over the past 20 years. Those people who steal and kill never had jobs to begin with. It's nothing new.

Well, we have a complete buffoon running things, so I can understand that part. She is banking on Biden making it into office and begging for a federal bailout.

I don't disagree, New Orleans has always been a place where you keep your head on a swivel, but today was the first time I feel like I just needed to get the hell out of there.

All the clowns making light of you should drive on out and get some gas now or better yet wait 4 hours.

The last time I passed through NO the homeless came under the overpass looked like that Roddy Piper movie with the aliens. Party city!
