Yeah, I never had any weird stuff happen with Ambien myself. But it didn't really work for me either. I'd either have it not knock me out, or if it did get me to sleep I'd wake up groggy.
But I let my ex-GF use some one night when she couldn't sleep and she was seeing all kinds of crazy stuff. She was seeing fairies flying around the room and waving at her and stuff.

I had sleep paralysis + ambien trip all in the same night. My room was like a ring out of dantes inferno.

One time I was so out of it, I thought a tornado was howling through really late at night when I was woken up by it. Turned out, I closed the air vent in my room the day prior and when that air kicked on it sounded higher pitch and louder than normal.
