Several folks have now conducted similar Lake Michigan "experiments" that totally debunk the "Globe Formula". (The infamous Weather guy explained what happened: "It's...it's a mirage." And got his nuts roasted by viewers.)

I still have the perfect way for these jerkwads to prove a spherical spinning earth is false.
Get a sniper to zero his scope at 500 yards. Have the sniper rotate his shooting position 90 degrees to shoot on a target 1500 yards away. Then, have the sniper dial in the correction for the new target, according to the mathematics including curvature of the earth and the coriolis effect. Have the flat earther agree that the correction fits the math corresponding to a spherical spinning earth. The scope will not be touched again.
Then stand the flat earther in front of the target and hand the sniper a full magazine. If the flat earther is correct, there is nothing to fear, as the corrections for curvature and coriolis effect they verified will ensure the bullet does not hit the target.
None of them agree to this. Odd, that.
