Yeah, those momentum guys are tards, too..
One guy even had west side style chains on the barbell. Partial repping with that doesn't remove much weight as the chains descend (start piling up on the floor); he may as well have added 10s to each side and perform normally. At least he thinks he knows what he's doing.

Nah, it's good to build your chest up. You want to stay strong. Exercise your body and mind, breh.

No. If you don't let the bar touch your chest, you are wrong. If you have "shoulder problems" and a bar touching your chest irritates it, then you shouldn't be benching.

If you're a powerlifter, yeah, it makes sense. Trying to build muscle, doesn't really make a difference.

I've dabbled in powerlifting. I has a state medal and errything.

Good thing I only go down 3 inches and then back up, I'm able to knock out 20 reps at 225

2 different threads from guys who are watching other guys at the gym and critiquing their workout. weird

I just go to 90 degrees. And I quit lifting heavy when I graduated high school.
Posted on 11/29/14 at 2:02 pm to LSUAlum2001
Bending the elbows well past 90 degrees can put unnecessary strain on the shoulder joint

Control the weight, don't let it control you and you will stay injury free in 99.99% of movements.

I watch guys at the gym, but mainly to see what they are doing that I could be doing

Yep within the last 2 weeks the OT swole daddys already have the ruling on this.
2 answers:
1) you're a pussy. And do you even lift bro?
2) it actually makes sense for a lot of people who have rotator cuff issues and shoulder problems. Who cares what other people do.
Pick your side wisely.
