Hell no. Why would you wish that?
To show them how the OT would have ended the war 5 years early.
Beat them like they scratched your door at sonic.

Actually looks French, a Renault FT.

I think that is a French Char B
For the first few years of WWII the Germans were good at taking captured war materials and using them for their own needs. I think the Pz I or Pz II was built on captured Czech tank chassis.
French actually had better and stronger tanks but surrendered before many could see action.

You take a lot of shite here about reposting, but this was a really nice share. I'll be following that project

I was thinking French for sure but you may be right on the Renault chassis
Designed late WWI they carried over to WWII and the Germans captured lots of them. I think the "honey" Stuart from the US was developed from this design and the Americanized version M1917. If memory serves they were made obsolete early on as they had a 37mm gun that could not penetrate the German armor once they got to the Pz III and Pz IV.

I wanted to see it but it was only playing mid day. Hopefully it will make another run through the theaters.

It is. That’s a captured French Renault FT that was introduced in WWI. It was the first full production tank to feature a fully rotating turret. It’s basically the great grandfather of all tanks we know today.

That’s incredible. My mom told me long ago that when my granddaddy came back from the war, he took all of his film to a place in Bessemer to have it developed. When he went to pick it up though, the developer had none of his film, absolutely nothing. She says that is one of the very few times that she ever saw him extremely angry. Even to this day, she still doesn’t know what really became of this film. My gut feeling is that the guy probably sold it. My grandfather was stationed in Europe and was present during the Nuremberg trials and didn’t return home until about 1947 I believe, so there is really no telling what could have been on that film. I do often wonder though when I see images like these if that’s pictures he took. I’m definitely going to check out this guy’s website. Maybe I’ll get lucky and come across some pics of my granddad.

My dad had all but just a couple of his VietNam pictures stolen out of his seabag on the way home. I would have loved to have them, I really enjoy the very few he has. What make some people so greedy?

Negative. Sounds like you are thinking of the Pz 38(t), which was actually just the Germans maintaining the tank's production for their own services after occupying Czechoslovakia and it's armaments facilities.

Anyone here wish they could have fought in it?
I think if I had to pick a role to have had in WWII it would have been a B-17 pilot in the 8th Air Force
