Actually I think I was thinking of the 32 or 35 (which was also a Czech tank) but both yours and mine were equipped with the 37 and not limited to just MG's.

Pz I was German but had MG turret for infantry
Pz II was German but had 20mm or 37mm gun for armor

I had the French tanks right but reversed (happens hen you get old)

Renault was the French equivalent of the US Stuart aka Honey
Char B was the French equivalent of the US Lee (Grant for UK version)

(both had limited arc main gun and large profiles)


Big and bulky or small and fast, did not seem to matter till the Matilda as the German 88's cut through the rest like butter. Until the UK upgraded the 2lb to 6lb gun tho the Matilda had to get up close and personal to kill their German armor. Old man said in the desert the Allies would score 3 - 6 hits and the German armor would not "brew". I think they hoped to bust the track first to immobilize then get to the flank or rear for better odds at a kill shot,

On a side note he said they would have the captured German's piss in the radiator's of the Allied vehicles as water was scarce and it got the job done while extending precious water supplies.

If it makes it out of Kursk (which it probably won't) send it to the western front. I'm about to start on a P-47D that I'll have waiting for it's arrival in France.
