re: Guy at Walker McDonalds throws a fit about flag not being at half staff

I'm a retired veteran with over 25 years. First of all, thanks for your service, SSG Ducote. Now, stop being a douchebag to young women working at McDonald's.
In 2015, there are much larger injustices to veteran's than a local McDonalds not getting a memo to fly a flag at half-staff. I'd imagine that the young lady has no clue that a helicopter crashed last week or that local servicemen died.
You've done nothing to honor the names of those that died last week or any other time with your actions. You could've simply "taking your issue up the chain of command" but chose to threaten a local business (that was actually flying a flag) with protest.
It's been a while for you but maybe you forgot this portion of the NCO Creed "I am proud of the Corps of Noncommissioned Officers and will at all times conduct myself so as to bring credit upon the Corps, the military service and my country regardless of the situation in which I find myself."
Your actions as demonstrated in your video did not bring credit upon yourself or the military service.

So disappointing that he decided to target that young lady. He can be a doucher to the higher ups at McDonald's that have paid vacations to ease their pain... but come on man.
This reminds me of a guy that emailed into our business about a project that I help support. He mentioned repeatedly about being some advocate for veterans' rights or somesuch (first once a weekend and then he started sending daily emails... sometimes several a day). I kept telling him that his problem can only be resolved with the county government (we are a private business), but he kept going on and on about getting the FBI and Governor Bentley involved to bring hellfire on our asses. It was really a dumb issue that didn't affect anything in the first place. Certainly wasn't hurting any veterans.

The dude attacking McDonalds is exercising his right to free speech while berating their right. I have a family member on FB who is in the National Guard (was Army) going off about this. He thinks it is justified as I just sit back and laugh at him about it. The veteran could have made it a lot easier by going in rationally to discuss this and then walking away but as others have said, he wanted his fame.

I hope he's happy about earning his "SJW" credentials.

He may want to learn the difference between "Half-Mast" (on ship) and "Half-Staff" (on land) before he goes on Fox News......

There are a few, very few, comments on FB that call the guy out.
He asked that I remove my post before he did it himself..

I'm a veteran and that fricking duchebag is an a-hole. I would never act that way.
Same here. Guys like that make me cringe. He's probably the guy that asks for military discounts everywhere he goes.

Mcdonalds took the high road apologizing to him.

True they owe him nothing, dude is a duck seriously

I was thinking about starting a thread joking about mcdonalds being un-American for not flying the flag at half-staff in Hammond.
Yea, the dude could have easily asked nicely about it, and to a actual decision maker instead of a low level employee. Instead he acted like a jackass.

He could have ignored it since he acknowledged that as an private company they had the right to do as they please.... he decided to make a scene out of nothing.

That was my stated issue...He called, they didn't know what he was talking about, so he turned around and went in...

This.
Bitch should have dragged her punk arse manager out by his no-balls self to let him handle the situation. Punk arse manager should be fired.
