Oh, NOW y’all want my thread?

I figured I wouldn’t post one since it’s not the first cool front of the fall. But yes, it’s going to get COLD and WINDY tomorrow and tomorrow evening.

Temps will drop into the 40’s by around 6:00.

I've never been a naysayer.
Ever the optimist when it comes to cold weather.

I made my first gumbo last weekend. Tomorrow it’s time for the first chili of the season!

I've taken a liking to making pot roast in cold weather, but gumbo sounds pretty good.

You should break out a babe thread of women nipping hard for this cold front.

I know your arse has a treasure trove of that.

Your thread about the cold front from a month ago when it maintained 100 degrees?

I want to tweet our local weathermen, specifically James Spann, and tell him the same thing.
Finally we are supposedly going to get this cold front.
A month later

Made chili last Saturday. Put a chicken on the kettle rotisserie while the chili was cooking.
Deboned and roasted bones to make stock.
Cooked chicken, sausage and cubed ham gumbo Sunday.
All in the freezer. I’m ready!
Will do a corn soup soon.

Pffft. If it's above freezing, it's shorts and flip flop weather.

Just did yesterday. My arm is killing me now though. I knew I shouldn’t have tried it so soon after surgery. My head is harder than a fricking rock!

Yes!!! That’s how you do it! I like to buy rotisserie chickens and use the bones for my stock. I use the meat for chicken salad sammies. I made my stock Thursday, then Friday I cooked the gumbo all afternoon/night (chicken, sausage, turkey Tasso & a couple of turkey legs). We ate Gumbo Saturday and Sunday.
