I'll be 35 next month. I don't see an issue with grown mean wearing nice athletic shoes. Jordans make some good looking running shoes. I havent bought any because I try to stay around the $60-$70 range for my shoes, but if I spent more, I'd get some. I think it looks better than grown men wearing all white New Balances...

Nothing wrong with wearing them with casual wear.

If you’re in business attire it should be dressier style shoes or nice boots

So are 40 year old men just expected to wear vanilla New Balance shoes or sandals?

My question is, why doesn't everyone wear New Balance? So much better and comfortable shoes than the swoosh.

I can agree with this. My last job was in an office setting (engineering field) and I rocked Nikes most of the time with a polo style shirt and jean cut khakis. My boss, the owner and professional engineer, often wore shorts and a fishing shirt or golf shirt. I guess it all depends on the atmosphere you are working in. Now, when we had meetings or business lunches planned, we wouldn't dress that way, but on a day to day basis, it was mostly casual.

I’m 29 and shoes are my thing. Probably have 20+ pairs that I would say are ‘exclusive’

I’ve got Jordan’s, Off-White, Yeezys, etc.

Don’t plan on stopping collecting any time soon. Everyone has their thing they like to collect or that they enjoy spending money on.

A lot of shoes appreciate like crazy too.
