I played a little bit of Halo 5 when it came out a few years ago but besides that, I haven't played video games in like a decade. Just not my thing anymore. It was when I was a kid obviously

Shame on anyone who has a family, especially with young kids, who does this more than a few hours a week.

You do understand that many people play games WITH their kids right?

I guess not.

Nah. I'll play video games every once in a blue moon, but as you get older you realize time is finite and there are so many things to experience and create out in the real world. To mostly sit around passively engaged in consuming entertainment is wasting life to me. And video games are a poor distraction from the real thing.

We'll.. not consistently or fanatically... But that's only e worse than grown men worrying about what other grown men spend their resources on...

As long as they have their retirement, auto insurance and credit cards covered... Spend your money and time the way you want

I couldn't care less about what people who don't pay my bills think about how I spend my free time.

As long as obligations are taken care of, no problem here. I don’t play them but used too.

I would be interested in playing them if I had extra money to spend on it.

I would still play if not for my vision and reflexes. Had a big group of guys that used to play cod at night when it first came out. Now I don’t have the reflexes anymore and struggle to see with aging vision.

All those games on your phone are video games. All those games that uses a screen at casino are a video game

Anybody under 45 grew up with video games. However it seems the under 30 crowd is obsessed. After a certain time in life there is no value on the time invested. Get out and do something with your life

You’re 22 which isn’t really a grown man or adult.

If you’re still playing at 30 then you might need to rethink your priorities. That being said, maybe learn an instrument.

As long as your hobbies don't interfere with my life, I don't give a shite what you do. If it makes you happy, go for it. Play games for the rest of your life, gamble your paychecks away - idgaf.

I personally enjoy reading and putting together puzzles to frame for myself or to give as gifts - I'm working on this one right now for my own walls:

Go to work. Be glad for sex. Then have a drink. Most men repeat that cycle

I probably average about 2 hours a week in my racing sim rig, which has actually made me objectively faster on a real track and about 2 hours playing FPSs. Both are very high bandwidth activities which I am convinced helps keep the "fast twitch fibers" of my brain sharp. While I don't do it for that specifically it is the escapism and competition that draws me in.

If you are taking care of your adult responsibilities and still have time to play video games…play away.

If you are a drain on society loser who plays video games and expect others to handle your adult responsibilities…grow up Peter Pan

Or they realize it's a huge waste of time. I don't really respect people that can waste that much time on any form of entertainment, but to each their own.
