As long as you're not playing with them.

So much of the toy industry these days revolves around adults "collecting" action figures.

How hard did the people at the framing store laugh when you framed Asia?

It's no worse than collecting coins.

If you're doing it as a hobby, sure.

If you're spending hours doing it and playing imaginary games with them, that may be a problem.

Hell yeah. I've got a lot of my old stuff. Spent a few days at my folks home many years back during a hurricane evac and put many of them together. Most are in borderline bad shape from rough play. The hovercraft (USS Whale) is still good to go.

Grown man who collects action figures checking in. I've got a huge Masters of the Universe Collection along with some other toy lines. Let me just warn you that collecting action figures can be very addicting. I started out just wanting to get one or two from my childhood and now I have a huge collection. Never really planned or wanted to get a big collection, but I just had to keep scratching that nostalgic itch.

If I was still single I probably wouldn't be a collector but now IDGAF. It's harmless fun and keeps me young at heart, and I don't have to worry about not getting laid because of it.

MotU was some cool weird shite, especially the earlier stuff that came with those weird comic books. Very dark and gothic.

Collecting for the sake of having a museum of children's toys in your home...well, I've never really understood the motivation for that.

The beauty of living in America is that it doesn't matter what you think about my hobbies, or I think about yours. I collect firearms. I have over a thousand different weapons,do I NEED that many? No. Is there any justification for having that many? No. Do they really serve any purpose other than giving me enjoyment? No. Am I more or less of a man based on what I collect? No.

OP who gives a shite what other people think dude, collect what makes you happy, providing it's legal of course. No child porn collections need apply.

Yeah, the comics were pretty dark. Especially when compared to the cartoon. Had a little bit of Sci-Fi mixed with Barbarians and high fantasy. The toys were just amazing though. I loved the action features... Mosquitor had blood that you could pump through his body. They just don't make cool shite like that anymore.

I'm thinking of rebuilding my childhood collection but it will cost north of $10,000 to do it.

This is why grown men collect action figures.
