Not everyone has a cushy job that has no chance of being shut down by government fiat.

Not that you honestly care.

Those two studies are focused on infections, not actual symptoms. The kids are going to get it.

What those articles miss is they are rarely hospitalized and few die.

I just wonder what is going to happen when kids get it then several teachers at a particular school get it. Shut down again?? IDK what the answers are . I know OHIO is talking about small class sizes and kids coming on alternating days , lunch in classrooms etc . That is going to be hard to pull off

Of course I care, I lost my job too

Doesn’t mean I get to dismiss the various complexities and uncharted territory of this situation in favor of what I personally want/need.

I would say it is actually closer to "consensus" so far among scientists that only a very small percentage of kids get extremely bad effects.

The point of all of these articles though isn't about kids getting sick but whether or not they are largely asymptomatic vectors that spread the virus to adults.

The study the OP posted is interesting and there are also others with similar findings in small test groups.

However, the German study, just for one example, in the link you're talking about, found that the asymptomatic kids he studied carried just as potent an amount of active virus as infected adults.

It would be fantastic news if, for some reason, kids weren't really able to catch this and spread it to adults as easily as they do other coronaviruses but there's just a lot of unproven and conflicting research so far.

We are going off of global warming consensus tactics. If we follow that model we can have consensus in no time.
