Depends on the age.
Buddy who got married at 18 out of high school didn’t really give us anything.
Buddy who got married in college gave us engraved hammers.
Buddy who got married after college gave us nice wallets with our initials.
Buddy who got married 5 years after college gave us decent watches.
I figure decent watches are pretty much the end of the line on what anyone could be expected to give.

I ordered each of my groomsmen a custom 2 L oak barrel with their name on it and filled it with their favorite liquor about 45 days before the wedding. That’s enough time for it to oak and be ready to drink by the bachelor party.

Leatherman keychain multitool. still have one from almost 20 years ago. Not a money clip (got 2 of those sitting in a drawer).

I gave Polo Golf wind shirts for each person. Best I received was a monogram LL BEAN large luggage duffle bag.
If I had to do it today, I”d give a nice pocket knife (Case or similar) and a personalized leather toiletries bag.
