Grocery Shopping Rant

Every three to four days I start a list and leave it on the table, everyone knows if you want something put it on the list. I'm the only person in the house with enough energy to go to the store.
No one ever puts anything down.
So before I go I ask if anyone wants/needs anything.
No is always the answer
But as soon as I walk back in after an hour of freaking shopping and spending $300.00 everyone starts with "did you get this, did you get that, did you get this". blah blah blah
EVERY frickING TIME - I just screamed at my kid.
And I'm hungover from yesterday.

"Did you put it on the list?"
"No..."
"Then nope."
The part of your kid's brain that controls long term planning and delayed gratification won't be fully developed until the age of 26. What's your excuse? Control your emotions like an adult.

Looks like she only buys produce

I'd give her some meat from the deli

Good for you.
Sometimes they need a jolt or a good shakedown.
The true test will be this next week.

It’d be as simple as “Did you put it on the list? No? Maybe do that next time”. And go on about your day.

I have a magnetic list on my fridge always. Even our friends add things to the list since our house is the one where football parties are held.

I like this,
"did you put it on the list"
no
"Too bad"
"did you put it on the list"

"Too bad"
