You're taking what he's saying in that quote at face value. If you listen to what he's saying in the context of the entirety of his comments, you will realize that he is blaming capitalism for the supply chain disruptions and rising inflation,

I take it you've read absolutely nothing about what's going on with the supply chain. Did you know that there's not a single scheduling/planning tool/program that these ports use to interface with carriers? The Dutch have one. Other countries have one. The US? Nope. And the reason is that these private companies believe that enrolling in a shared tracking program would cause them to give proprietary information to their competitors. So, yes, capitalism is abso-fricking-lutely to blame if these shithead cargo companies can't pull their heads out of their asses to work together.

Which policies are those? Extended/expanded unemployment? Funny thing. Governor Kemp came out last week bitching and moaning about the lack employees in GA. But ya know what? He stopped UE expansion months ago...just ripped that shite from people believing that that's what was causing the issue. Turns out, he was wrong and so are you.

We have an aldi less than a mile from our house and we generally buy most of our groceries there (at least the ones where we don't care about the brand name).

I made a quick trip today to pick up a few things for the week and noticed that a few of the things we get were up 35-40%.

Ah, so keeping unsustainable UE benefits is the answer to get people back to work?

That's a good thing. It means the economy is improving according to "experts".

So what ERP platform would you recommend to solve the supply chain problem?

Well, it comes back to what Pete said....demand is through the fricking roof right now. Couple pent up demand with the supply chain and suppliers still playing catch up from a global pandemic and, well, you end up with the clusterfrick we're seeing now.

So do you want Biden to come in and save the day or do you want him to let private enterprise do their thing?

And this is equity in their eyes. Take from the middle class, and give to the poor.

Government (fed, state, and local) clamps down on how businesses are allowed to operate while also pumping trillions in UE to pay people to stay home and it's the fault of the capitalist system

It is kind of funny that the “government isn’t the solution, it’s the problem” folks now want the government to come save the day.

You better tell my Republican governor....he found out the hard way that manpower issues are decidedly NOT due to COVID restrictions or unemployment benefits.

Or we just going to ignore real world examples and instead rely on outdated GOP talking points?

I started growing my own food in February. We’re gonna have to create a localized parallel economy to survive the coming hyperinflation.

Really encourage anyone upset by what's going on right now to read this really informative feature piece. It's exhaustive and gets in the weeds, a bit, but it helped me learn a lot about what's going on.

The Pope, of all fricking people, chastising a company for making a profit!
That a-hole has fleeced more sheep than anyone on the planet and runs a racket that spends alot of money to make sure you never find out how much money it actually has. That's the Pope....
