Any statement that flights will resume on Sunday is pure conjecture.
It's obviously not 100% that it's going to happen, but the major airlines are planning to resume flights around noon on Sunday, last I heard.

there could be a few setbacks that would cause them to miss that goal, but that's the effort they're going to make

You do until you have to deal with it and the aftermath. It's going to suck around here. I just made a quick grocery store run to make sure I have meals for several days...and plenty of beer.
I love giant snowstorms.

Things are starting to crank in DC! Looks like everyone has gone into hiding outside of a few random joggers (got to get that run in!) Live HD webcam here.

Here's to hoping this thing drops 20+" on NYC. Prob wont happen, but this LA guy is hoping.

Somehow these snowstorms always fail to deliver at the very end...

3.25" at 7pm. The snow is supposed to get heavy starting around 9pm through tomorrow night.

Where are you at? Latest runs of the HRRR have DC pushing 20" by morning! And areas to the SW of town....

12 inches here in Asheville and it is still coming down hard. Probably about five more inches overnight.

That's because the south doesn't have salt ready to drop. Pittsburgh two years ago ran out of salt. People were wrecking left and right.

Where does the North start? People couldn't drive for shitz in the snow in DC. I've seen people drive off the road in Colorado. F the North.
