If we get 30-50" of snow all bets are off regarding airports. There will be thousands people that can't get out of their neighborhoods for several days.

I just want the power to stay on.

Airports were closed until Monday during Snowmageddon in 2010. This storm is predicted right now to be at least as big as that one. Dulles airport got 32.4" of snow during that storm. Any statement that flights will resume on Sunday is pure conjecture.

Nashville is getting it good right now, by middle Tennessee snowfall standards anyways. 5 inches and counting.

Pretty much all models are now showing the unimaginable for the DC area, that is nearly 4' of snow in some places

No, it's hell. I forgot to get Pinwheel cookies last night when I stocked up on groceries. Only have two left, don't know how I can hold out till Monday.

Looks like a dusting here tonight.

I'm already tired of hearing about this storm.

You do until you have to deal with it and the aftermath. It's going to suck around here. I just made a quick grocery store run to make sure I have meals for several days...and plenty of beer.

Until now I've never seen the purple part of that graph over me. That's usually reserved for Garrett County, Md.

Where in western Fairfax? I'm in Herndon and it looks like our forecast is for 30" or more.

I'll take less.

Yea, I didn't count that area of MD as being in our region so that I could cut down on the disappointment/envy I lived in DC for 4 of the Top 25 storms but hate missing the potential #1.
