Some context should be added there - Median home price to income in 1985 was 3.5 whereas median home price to income in 2025 is 7.0. While they were wrong in their assumptions that today's rates are at all time highs, the pain of the home cost is indeed much worse than it was in 1985

Social media is 100% the root cause of that, and really all divorces. Retired men find things to do. Retired women sit around and doom scroll Facebook looking for drama and make themselves and eventually their husbands miserable.

Government programs were instituted by FDR and that POS LBJ with the express intent to capture votes. The boomers participated in the expansion of the programs beyond their original intent.

I’m fine with it. The older I get, the more I enjoy being by myself. Cleaning behind myself, cooking and taking care of laundry for one person isn’t nearly the huge job it’s been claimed to be all these years. Half is more than enough to get by on.

If we rounded up all the boomer women and put them in camps the rest of the country would flourish. Truly the worst demographic.

Your time would have been better spent teaching your daughters how to recognize a good man instead of teaching them to distrust men. The biggest issue with single moms and other maladies is women continuously reward shallow features at the expense of long term relationships and community/societal stability.
Boomer fathers are biggest simps the world has ever known, and the quality of modern women routinely demonstrates how weak they truly are/were.

Hear about this a lot and it seems like a serious issue.
Boomer women somehow having zero hobbies of their own and resorting to bitching about everyone else's hobbies.
Shopping at Costco is not a hobby.
Buying chinese junk at Michael's is not a hobby.
Getting scammed by way of instagram ads and unsolicited text messages is not a hobby.
Going to the doctor for sport and trying different psychotropic drugs you see advertised on Tv is not a hobby.
In a world of unlimited opportunity, somehow being a stick-in-the-mud seems to be the preferred option.
