Grambling switches up menu with new food service program

GRAMBLING, La. (KNOE) - The menu is changing for students at Grambling State University. GSU is partnering with dining service provider SodexoMAGIC. They’re hoping to bring an entirely new dining experience.

Some students can't wait to have some of their favorite restaurants like Chick-Fil-A, Pizza Hut and Steak & Shake on campus.
La Nita Hughes is excited she gets to enjoy it too before she graduates. "I'm excited that it's happening before I leave," Hughes says.
The grad student is in her fifth year at Grambling and remembers when she would have to go off campus to get a late night meal.
"I didn't have a car my freshman and sophomore year. A lot of athletes, we would walk to practices and walk back. And then we'd be tired. We'd be hungry. We'd say 'Oh, let me get with a friend to take me off campus to get something to eat. It didn't always work out that way."
Now, she won't have to worry about that much longer. With full-scale remodeling and new restaurants coming soon, students will have more options to eat every day with beautiful scenery. But the most exciting news, the McCall Dining Hall will be open 24 hours a day.

Sounds like a good deal for Grambling students. I’m guessing the downvotes are from the LA Tech students who don’t have a 24 hour steak and shake, and they’re jealous.

How long was the cafeteria open before? I don't believe there was no food available after practice.
